Cultart Book
Cultart Book is the final chapter of the two-year work of a consortium of 6 organizations in 5 countries and the involvement of 125 new cultural managers aged 20 to 35 in the cultural creative sector in Europe.
The book tells 188 pages of the Cultart model through places, faces, institutions, artists, and possible solutions to practically improve our cities’ creative ecosystem. The Cultart Book is in English in paper and digital editions with the motivation to connect professionals in the cultural and creative sector and to reach a wide audience to stimulate imagination, communication, and participation at the European level.
The graphic design is by Studio Punkt. It addresses the dynamics of Cultart’s visual identity, created by the same design team with the project launch. The color code that defines Cultart’s five management programs is also a color reference of the book content. The cover follows the shapes and colors of the Cultart logo and symbolically begins and ends the book in achromatic black and white. The shapes of the Cultart logo also guide the shapes in the book’s composition and typography.
The publication presents for the first time in detail the “5×5” training model created by Clearly Culture, Leoni Hodkevitch, and a teaching team of the University of Vienna, which Cultart adapted and developed in the 5 partner countries of the project. The basis of the training is the work of the 125 participants on the management cases of a particular cultural institution in the cities. The summarized version of their ideas is part of the story of each of the five management programs in the book. Highlights are the faces, profiles, and words of the participants, their experiences, feedback, and recommendations about Cultart.
The digital version of the book has its internal links and bookmarks both as content guidelines and leads to additional websites and social media pages. Moreover, you can find a direct link to Cultart’s YouTube channel, where you can watch some of the video testimonials about the program in Plovdiv. Photo and video credit: Anton Schnitter
