Cultart Management Academy

Day 1 | The Marathon  21 | 11 | 2022 #discoverdesign

Belvedere 1 768x543, Cultart Management Academy
The first day of the Design and Architecture program was with the mentors of the Valari Studio and their Case Study presentation with the warm welcome of the young cultural manager’s group in the beautiful Biblioteca Convitto Palmieri.

Who are we from Valari Studio? The Marathon started with the Case study program based on working examples on the Cultart curriculum topics such as Introduction to Cultural Innovations, Management and Administration of CCS Enterprises, Design Thinking, Brand Identity, and Media & Communication. The next session of workshops was about Introduction to Cultural Innovations lessons and was held by the architect Fabio Anchora and on Media and Communication by Melania Caiaffa Commedia Srl.

Day 2 | The Orienteering

22 | 11 | 2022

The second training day was all about practice. The group traveled to the city of Carovigno to visit their mentors from the Valari Studio’s fantastic project – Masseria Belvedere.

What is to design with modern lines and local craftsmanship? The Valari Studio showed the Cultart group the real process behind their interior design projects and met the participants with their team of craftsmen to share inspiration and know-how. The participants had the opportunity to watch and practice the local authentic approaches from scratch to production at Pavimenti Marra and create a tile themselves.

They also explored working both with traditional and modern methods of carving and assembling furniture at the Falegnameria Alba. Moreover, the group visited the Valari studio’s last production – the Masseria Belvedere which is a traditional peasant house in southern Italy. It was a great example of Valari Studio’s vision of renovating by keeping the authentic structure and being aware of the environmental demands.
