Day 1 of the Cultural Management Academy Training consisted of an intense one-day conference, comprising numerous lectures by keynote speakers on selected topics, based on the curriculum. Participants met a vast array of local as well as international practitioners and scholars of the field and were fully immersed in the sphere of Cultural Management. The marathon of lectures by international keynote speakers, scholars, practitioners, and activists from Vienna, Tallinn, India (Bharat), Thessaloniki, Sofia, Trencin – European Capital of Culture 2026, South Carolina, and Massachusetts. Participants were thrilled by a colorful day, rich in information and in inspiration. They learned how to embed a project within its context and contributed to the discussions and dialogue.
This was also the day of the first encounter with the Kunsthalle Wien at their own premises in the famous MuseumsQuartier. Participants were welcomed by the Kunsthalle Wien team, Ms. Adina Hasler, and Ms. Katharina Baumgartner, Communication and Marketing Dept. Day 2 was dedicated to creating a basis for cultural activities by touching on relevant topics. Participants learned and trained how to develop and present projects to attract sponsors and apply for EU programs. Participants had in-depth workshops with presentations, teamwork, and discussions. The groups were transformed into teams for each of the case studies. Finally, the concept of the work was set and the first thoughts were drafted.
